Do You Know A Ginger?

Well you do now!  I’m Chelise, the author of this blog and I’m delighted to have you here!  I’ve been talking about creating a lifestyle blog for quite sometime and well, here I am.  This is my first official post on Ginger Reflections and I’m excited to be starting this venture.  I am so looking forward to sharing my thoughts with anyone that wants to pull up a chair and travel with me on my journey.  I think my life is pretty colorful and I have many interests so I decided a lifestyle blog would be best for my type of musings.  I’m your typical girly-girl…I love pink.  I love sparkly things.  I get excited about new make up and hair products.  I am a huge lover of all animals.  I love traveling to new places with my sweetheart.  I am blessed to have good friends in my life and cherish the family that live close by. 

I decided to start blogging because essentially I truly enjoy writing.  I currently work for a large insurance company as a Regulatory Manager and have been immersed in Corporate America for many years.  My job can be stressful.  My job can require long hours.  My job is not my dream job.  I’m sure that resonates with many of you when you read that and maybe you’ve even heard people say “do what you love”.  That’s not realistic for the majority of us.  If I truly did what I loved it would be hanging out with puppies and kittens all day but I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t cover living expenses.  So, here I am…still working full-time but when I gave thought to doing what I love, writing came to mind.  Even as a past-time in the evenings after work, it brings a sense of passion and enjoyment for me.  At any time, something I write may truly touch someone or provide insight or inspiration which in turn may create some positivity in this world.  And I think we can all agree, we need more positivity!

My vision for this blog is to share with others my journey in life which could include my latest nail polish find or a great shampoo (which I know us ladies are always on the hunt for great hair care products).  I can go on and on about my beloved German Shepherd, Rudi who now watches over me from the rainbow bridge so I’m fairly certain you’ll find nostalgic posts on here about him.  I love to take pictures so I can’t wait to give my perspectives, or reflections if you will, on my travels and great places to visit.  My faith is also important to me so I’m sure that I will be sharing posts of that nature as well.  Then there will be just the random “life” posts where memories are made on an ordinary day.

Life, in a general sense, takes different paths for all of us but there are common circumstances we all share at some point that we can relate to.  I’m a big believer in self improvement and I think it happens over time to each of us even if we aren’t paying attention.  One thing I’ve learned as I get older is that we all tend to learn the hard way in some aspects and from those lessons we grow.  I know I have made some huge strides in life and changed for the better in a lot of ways.  I’m not afraid of sharing those experiences in my blog so you may see those pop up from time to time.  We are all experts on our own life story so why not share the journey with others.  You never know the ripple effect it may have.

I hope during our time together as both the reader and the blogger we can find a sense of unity to where we realize we are not alone in what we experience in this crazy thing called life.
